Simple but tasty, this Swedish meatball recipe is rich with flavour.
INGREDIENTS
- 400 g pork mince
- 1 egg yolk, beaten
- 2 dollop Hellmann's Real Mayonnaise
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 60 g fresh white breadcrumbs
- 3 tablespoons chopped dill
- 2 tablespoons Flora Buttery
- 2 tablespoons plain flour
- 1 Knorr beef stock cube
- 500 ml boiling water
METHOD
-
In a large bowl mix the pork mince, egg, Hellmann’s Real Mayonnaise, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs and 2 tablespoons of the chopped dill. With wet hands, shape into balls about the size of a golf ball.
-
Gently fry the meatballs in a non-stick pan on medium heat for 5 minutes, or until lovely and golden brown.
-
Take out the balls and set aside. Add the Flora Buttery to the pan over medium heat. Once Flora Buttery has melted, add the flour and stir until you have a paste. Add the Knorr Reduced Salt Beef Stock Cube and water and whisk well. Simmer for 10 minutes.
-
Add the meatballs back to the pan and coat them with the sauce.
-
Garnish with remaining chopped dill to serve.
